Admission requirements and rates

Students who hold a Syrian secondary school certificate, an intermediate institute, a university degree, or the equivalent of any of them, regardless of the date of obtaining it, are accepted at the university.

Based on the instructions of the Board of Trustees, the president of the university issues before the start of the study in each academic year a decision specifying the conditions for admission to the university and the dates for submitting applications for comparison and registration, the number of students to be accepted and the rates required for registration in each college

Admission is made according to a comparison between applicants in each college, specialty or program.

Accordingly, the university selects the students that can be accepted by each college according to the hierarchy of your high school passing grades.

1.secondary:

The minimum grades required to accept students. The admission rates for students holding a Syrian secondary certificate are determined after folding the mark of religious education and choosing one of the two languages (English or French for high school if their certificates contain these two languages) for those wishing to register at Ebla University as determined by the Ministry of Education. It is required that the general secondary certificate be consistent with the specialization in which the student wishes to register according to the approved foundations.

In addition to the total scores mentioned above, it is approved for enrollment in the architecture major from the College of Engineering to take an acceptance test and pass it.

A percentage of students that does not exceed 40% of the seats allocated for each program can be accepted for non-Syrian secondary certificate holders, and they will be compared among themselves without deduction from the average.

Shari'a secondary school students can be accepted, as the certificate is treated as the literary branch of secondary school, after folding the grades of religious subjects from the Shari'a secondary school.

Professional secondary certificate holders who are accepted into the Department of Information and Communications Engineering are required to take restorative courses for the two subjects (mathematics and physics). The restoration process is carried out at the expense of the university, without incurring any expenses for students. These courses are not counted within the program and are not included in the calculation of the average.

A student who holds a certificate from an intermediate institute or technical institutes (graduated) or UNRWA institutes may be accepted for enrollment at the university according to the following conditions:

2- His average in the institute certificate should be at least (good), without regardless of his average in the secondary certificate.

3- If his average in the secondary certificate is equal to the college acceptance rate in the year of admission, it is accepted without regardless of the institute's certificate rate.

-4The student is treated in both paragraphs (2) and (3) on the basis of the certificate of the intermediate institute when amending courses.

A student who holds a university degree may be accepted for enrollment at Ebla University according to the following rules:

1- The student’s specialization should be “consistent” with the specialization he wishes to register according to the following table:

2- That his average in the secondary certificate is equal to the college admission rate in the year of admission, and it is accepted on the basis of the bachelor’s degree without regardless of his average in it.

3- The student is treated in both paragraphs (2) and (3) on the basis of a bachelor's degree when amending courses.
4- The exemption rate is determined by no more than 30% of the number of credit hours in the college in which he will be accepted as decided by the competent university councils in the event that admission is on the basis of a leave granted by another college at Ebla University or from another public or private university consistent with the specialization he desires to regardless in.

5-The exemption should not exceed 50% of the number of credit hours in the college in which he will be accepted as decided by the competent university councils in the event of admission on the basis of a leave within the same college (in another major) at the same Ebla University, based on an exemption decision issued by the University Council.

1- Exhausted students can be accepted in public universities for enrollment in Ebla Private University according to the following rules:

His average in the secondary certificate shall not be less than the required rate for the specialization to be registered at Ebla University in the year of registration.
To submit proof of his enrollment in the public university in which he was exhausted.
The student should not be dismissed from the public university for disciplinary reasons.

2- The Board of Trustees determines the percentage of accepted students who are exhausted, in a way that does not conflict with the decisions of the Higher Education Council.
3- An exhausted student who has registered at Ebla Private University is not entitled to return to the public university in any case. In the event of a violation, his registration from Ebla Private University will be written off and no documents will be given to him.
